As the proud owner of a Motorola Droid, I find this claim to be completely unfounded. I have never had an issue with any injury to my phone despite my high level of klutziness. And hey, atleast if my phone does break I have insurance..
I look at it this way, I have one of the most creative, innovative companies in the world making the software for my phone, not to mention the world as a whole creating the apps. If innovation is found through diversity and exploration, I’d say the Iphone’s days are numbered. Enjoyz!

Having just purchased a brand new Sprint HTC EVO 4G, I love the Android phone. The HTC EVO especially is an amazing phone! I agree with the previous poster, the iPhone days are numbered.
Let’s just wait and see what the new iPhone will bring. It has been almost a year since the iPhone was updated, mind you that the iPhone has been nr.1 for the biggest part of that year. Ok I had forgotten about the evo and the droid. They aren’t called great iPhone competiton for nothing, right?
I’m still sticking to my point. The iPhone has a really strong app store and the fact that you can use your previously purchased apps as many times as you want, on as many phones as you want and on the iPad as well is a big plus. I really wonder what’s going to happen at the WWDC in about two weeks. I think it’s going to be very exciting what competition will do to apple.
I love the competition because it pushes brands to produce high end products. There’s a lot happening in technology and we’re not done by far!

If I set up that same Google account on a new phone, it will allow me to download every app I purchased too.

I’ll admit that I didn’t know android did that. Now @dty07 if your only argument is flash, you suck. Flash is an old system that isn’t made to work well with mobile phones, and especially not for touch screens. I’m saying it’s not good for android, nor would it have been for iPhone. I agree they should have enabled it for those who wanted it, or make a good, accessible alternative. (which they now have..)
All I know is, enabling flash on a phone is horrible for your battery life, CPU etc. and it would never have worked perfectly anyway.
What do you guys think of the new iPhone? I think it’s rather good! Not as thrilling as the 3G was at the time, but at least they’re finally adding key features we’ve been waiting for since the iPhone 2G…

no the fact that flash is dead has nothing to do with apple.
it has to do with the fact that it is, and will always be very heavy on cpu etc. it is not optimized for mobile devices and it sucks battery life on all mobile devices (including laptops)
HTML5 is coming a long way in taking over most things you would do with flash, thus making life for you, the consumer, a lot better because you can go longer with your battery etc.
Also I learn how to work with flash at college and it is nothing like photoshop or illustrator. it is a great program, but it is hard to work with. There are ways to create easy animations etc. but those are really bad for your computer if you don’t do it right.
