dr zoidberg is a character from futurama. it get the joke her, considering the kind of character zoidberg shows in the show.

I think you need to know something about the Cthulhu mythos to appreciate all facets of this picture. H.P. Lovecraft. Or perhaps it’s just meant to portray Zoidberg as a generic sea monster. Either way, this has both feet firmly rooted in fiction. Different types of fiction.

The joke is that Zoidberg is playing with Professor’s ship in a bottle (remember that episode?)

Haha… It’s zoidberg, but a sea monster also…he does look like one if you stare at him in the show but he’s a doctor…That is obviously the professor’s ship in a bottle…zoidberg does eat everything he can…but I was told it was funny, but it’s just lightly amusing. =D

I get the futurama bit, and it is very well drawn, but I just don’t find it funny
